Account & Data Deletion
Podium
How to delete your data
Settings > Account > Delete account (removes your account and cloud data after a 30-day grace period). Without an account, deleting the app removes locally saved practice data; transient AI processing and anonymous diagnostics follow the handling disclosed above.
What gets deleted
When you delete your data, the following is removed:
- Saved speech session recordings (audio never leaves your iPhone - excluded from cloud backup)
- Microphone audio and live transcript during live voice coaching (processed for that session and not stored by Podium)
- Practice statistics, scores and transcripts (on your device; backed up to your account by default - backup can be turned off any time in Account)
- Your speaking goals and preferences from onboarding (backed up to your account by default - backup can be turned off any time in Account)
- Your personal training mixes and mix progress (kept on this device and included only when you choose Export All)
- Email address (for email/password sign-in; Sign in with Apple may provide an Apple private relay address)
- Opaque qualifying-rep receipts (only for signed-in users earning the one-time live voice trial; no prompt, transcript, audio, score, goal or progress content)
- App Store purchase and subscription status (if you buy a plan or voice-minute top-up)
- App usage analytics (anonymous, via PostHog and Sentry, when enabled in the build)
Data stored locally
Saved rehearsal audio and personal training mixes never leave your device - they are excluded from cloud sync. After the required account step, backup is on by default: supported non-audio records (sessions, transcripts, goals and other progress) are also stored in our database in Sydney, Australia. Backup can be turned off any time in Account, and training mixes are not included in cloud backup or AI personalisation. Essential account, purchase, voice-metering and minimal trial-receipt records are server-side. AI and live voice input is processed for the requested coaching session.
Third-party data
The following services may have received anonymised data:
- Supabase (required account sign-in, commerce metering, minimal trial receipts, and optional supported non-audio backup, hosted in Sydney, Australia)
- RevenueCat (App Store purchase validation, subscription status and purchase webhooks)
- Apple App Store (in-app purchase and subscription processing)
- Apple Speech Recognition (real-time practice transcription; runs on-device whenever the device supports it, otherwise Apple's speech service processes the audio)
- Sentry (crash reporting, anonymised)
- PostHog (anonymous product analytics, only when an analytics key is present in the build)
- Anthropic Claude API (speech analysis, session-scoped, not retained by Anthropic)
- OpenAI API (speech analysis and live voice, session-scoped, not retained for training)
- ElevenLabs (live voice coaching, session-scoped; your microphone audio streams to their Conversational AI service while a live voice session is running)
These services have their own data retention policies. Contact them directly for removal requests.
